The ingredients needed to make Mutter pulav:
- Provide 1 cup of rice (wash and soaked).
- Get 1 of Onion finely chopped.
- Prepare 1 inch of ginger finely chopped.
- Prepare 1 of green chilli finely chopped.
- Get 6-7 of cashews (breaked).
- Use 1/2 bowl of green peas.
- Take 1 tsp of cumin.
- Provide 1/2 tsp of black pepper powder.
- Take As per taste of Salt (to taste).
- Take 3-4 tsp of ghee(clarified butter).
Instructions to make Mutter pulav:
- Heat ghee in a pressure cooker,add cumin seeds in it. When cumin starts crackle add green chilli, onion, ginger and cashews..
- Stir. Sauté on low medium flame, till onions become translucent..
- Add peas, salt and pepper. Mix it well..
- Add rice and 1 3/4 cup water in it. Cover the lid. Cook it for one whistle..
- Transfer it in a bowl. Serve hot with any curry or raita..
As this is mild pulao, this will be perfect for kid's lunch box as well. When the ginger browns a little, add the rice, peas, garam masala, salt and turmeric. Heat a kadhai or non-stick pan, add ghee, jeera or cumin seeds followed by all the dry spices. Saute for couple of minutes over low heat. Now add the green peas and mix well.
